Make time for a tailor
There’s nothing more unattractive than an ill-fitted suit, definitely a #StyleInError we don’t want to see in 2016. A good tailor can take you look to new heights with just a few adjustments. Getting dressed is looking sharp takes little effort when your clothes fit you to a T. Do not underestimate the power of fitting clothes, you can look sexy, stylish, and suave every day without the hard work.

Buy clever
Is there anything more satisfying that a perfect find with a huge discount? At least that’s what we tell ourselves. Commit to become a smart shopper and learn what works for you and what doesn’t, so whether it’s the V-neck, the man bun or the long dress-shirt that you really wanted to last year; it’s time to let go and just accept it and move on. And if it’s the money you’re worried about, take a look at our post-Christmas sales shopping guide and see the top tips on what to buy, what to pass on and how to outsmart stores to keep your spending in check.

Basic isn’t that bad
If you’re unsure on what to splurge out on, invest in some lasting basics; oxford shirt, loafer, black trousers etc. These items will go with everything, dressed up or down. Next time you’re on a shopping spree (hopefully every time after that), make sure you have those ‘classics’ covered and really think about the purchase you’re about to make, your pocket with thank you for it.

Embrace smart-casual
If there’s one thing we learnt from 2015, it’s that smart-casual can definitely be done. Gone are the days when wearing a tailored suit with a pair of trainers was fashion sin. Get more wears from the clothes in your wardrobe and try mixing ad matching your casual wear and your smart get-ups. You’ll end up with versatile and stylish combinations that you might not have previously thought of.

Mix your textures
Mixing textures add interest to your ensemble, no matter the season. Investing in some rich textures is a great way to prevent your outfit looking uniform-like. It’s add an instant depth to your outfit. Try wearing 2016 hottest material; suede, with denim, or wear your chunky fisherman sweater with chinos for the perfect off-duty look.
